Prada’s Holiday Season Kick-Off
Halloween has come and gone and the next holiday season is upon us, bringing in the shimmering lights of the Christmas season with pieces rich in hues of red, green, gold and shimmering sparkling textiles that seem to make their way to the forefront of holiday season accessories year after year. Italian brand Prada, launched their 2023 Holiday Collection on November 3rd, offering a large selection of luxury treats for anyone on their wishlist.

In a galactic video spanning over the horizon of a planet, Prada shows off two handbags from the holiday collection, both black and shimmering like obsidian. This campaign video set the stage and a statement by the brand defined the for the special collection.
“A journey into our own sphere, the fantasy of an impossible voyage: discover the Prada Holiday collection for her expanding the magic inherent in the holiday season.”

The interstellar collection features pieces for him and for her, from apparel to handbags, and even Ready-To-Wear footwear. For women, shades of black, nude, and cherry red are common throughout the collection and glossy patent leather is prevalent in handbags and pumps. The Prada Cleo Patent Leather bag, a simple saddle-shaped bag with the Prada Embelum in gold and coordinating straps is offered in all three shades. The red bag, shiny and jolly resembles a perfect candied apple, reflecting light on its glossy leather.

Feather trim on accessories makes for a cozy winter look, like the cotton fleece skirt with coordinating crewneck sweatshirt with feather-trimmed sleeves combining comfort and style for an elegant winter look.

For men, textiles are dulled down from patent leather to brushed leather and nylon. Pieces include handbags, jackets, coats, and other accessories primarily in black with a few exceptions of tan. The men’s double-breasted would jacket features a boxy cut, shining silver buttons with the Prada emblem on the back of the collar. Coordinating pants are offered as part of the collection aswell.
Prada’s 2023 holiday collection features simple elegance and channels Prada’s pristine craftsmanship in timeless pieces that extend beyond the Christmas season.
