Bigger Bags for Bigger Messes & More Trends in 2024

One word to describe fashion trends from 2023 is; clean, old money vibes and classic.

The world was on a chokehold after Sofia Richie’s wedding as she launched the old money aesthetic and wedding-it-girl aesthetic. Gabriette had everyone throw out their colorful clothes and replace it with black, white, and red. Now, in 2024, some things will be reversed.

One word to describe the fashion trends of 2024 is, chaotic and we will see many 2010s tumblr trends reawakened. Get ready!

Skinny Jeans

Yes you heard it, don’t be afraid. But we will definitely see a modernized version of skinny jeans. We have already seen them on the runway, at the Dsquared Spring/Summer 2024. In 2024, they will be heavily inspired by 2000s models’ off-duty look with prime examples being Kate Moss. These jeans will be usually paired with knee high or calf high boots.

Leopard Print

With the resurgance of 2000s trends and the resurgence of the rockstar girlfriend aesthetic, it is impossible not to include leopard prints. With the help of TikTok, leopard print tights have become popular, but that is a very dramatic use of the print. What makes this trend so great is how versatile it is. You can wear it all year round. In 2024, a snow leopard print will be seen on a lot of fur coats.

Fur, Fur, Fur!

In 2023, we are already seeing this trend, but it will be a huge fashion statement in 2024, and we are here for it! It has been seen in the DSQUARED2 Fall 2023 Collection, the Fear of Good Los Angeles show, and Alexandre Vauthier’s Spring 2023 collection. Next year, we will see Russian fur hats, vintage floor-length fur coats, and fluffy fur detailings on clothes.

Bigger Bags For Bigger Messes

It was impossible not to notice oversize bags at fashion week this year. The Miu Miu SS24 collection had leather bags that were filled with shoes and clothes and Balenciaga SS24 had leather bags that were over accessorized with charms. On the other hand, Ferragamo SS24 had overweight leather hugs and shoulder bags. This trend will range from a messy, chic look to an extremely sophisticated look.
